O’s Notes: The warmth and large sound of the piano stands out in this trio performance. All three players are formidable. The eight pieces range from the dynamic opener to the tranquility of the “Music For Three-Piece Orchestra”, a medley that allowed each of the musicians to shine, especially on “Edge”. We also liked “Love and Laughter” capping an excellent session of new music composed by Hiromi.
