O’s Notes: Saxophonist Jerry Bergonzi sticks to the tried and true for his latest release Spotlight On Standards. The configuration is a trio featuring Renato Chico (keyboards), Andrea Michelutti (d) and Bergonzi. They revisit five standards and add four of Jerry’s originals notably “Bi-Solar”. We also enjoyed Jerry’s cover of “Out Of Nowhere”.
