O’s Notes: There is lots of variety here courtesy of the inclusion of guest vibraphonist Joe Locke on five of the tracks. Joe combines with Hart for a dashing series of trades on “Green Acres” and they team up on the melodies on “The E Tune”. It’s all blues on “Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans” one of the trio cuts with Bill Moring (b) and Tim Horner (d). Hart also adds a solo and then goes fusion on “Alone Together”. It’s the combinations of styles that keep it fresh with John’s prowess on guitar coming through on all fronts.
