O’s Notes: Tri-Fi is pianist Matthew Fries, bassist Phil Palombi and drummer Keith Hall. Staring Into The Sun is their fifth release together. Formerly the touring rhythm section for Curtis Stigers, they breached out on their own creating original tunes with a contemporary, personal feel. The sound is fresh and peaceful especially “Clockwork” and “The Nightwatch”. Our favorite is the racy “Josie Bebop”.
