O’s Notes: Lisa breathes rich tones through her flute, alto and soprano saxophones. Her approach to jazz is more of traditional jazzy ballads vs. the smooth set and she makes a strong statement. From the opening phrases of the first tune “Unforgettable”, we hear her warm and passionate melodies. This continues through the entire set with great support from producer Don Turney (p), John Hettel (b) and Andrew Eberhard (d). Lisa makes you want to hum the melodies or at least pat your feet!
