O’s Notes: Tenor sax man Eric Alexander is only 33 years old but he’s already made a solid name for himself on the jazz scene. For Summit Meeting he works with his core rhythm section of Harold Maberm (p), John Webber (b) and Joe Farnsworth (d) along with special guest Nicholas Payton on trumpet. They work well together on 9 nice arrangements including two Alexander pennings. The highlight is Eric’s fat, dynamic sound on sax as he continues to assert himself on the jazz scene.
