O’s Notes: Our first exposure to Ciofalo is very positive. She carves out her own signature, partners with pianist and co-producer John di Martino to make some wonderful and unique arrangements. The band is first class including Matt Wilson on drums and guitarist John Hart. Linda’s arrangement of “Orange Blossoms In Summertime” puts the song in a new light. Joel Frahm plays a sweet sax solo on “Midnight Sun”. We also enjoyed “Comes Love” with Marcus McLaurine contributing a solo on bass. Linda takes risks with her music and the listener is rewarded. We hope to hear more of her.
