O’s Notes: Barbara has a gentle voice that glides over thirteen classics. Pianist Dan Gaynor leads the accompanying band. They don’t get in the way but accentuate and embellish where needed. Lusch is delicate on “My Heart Belongs to Daddy” over a vamp beat. There’s a soft blues feel on “Baby Come Home” and a cool swing on “Tain’t What You Do”, a doo-wop number. The variety makes this an entertaining session.
