O’s Notes: There’s a bluegrass, feel to Molly Ryan’s swinging ballads on Sweepin’ The Blues Away. There are great stories, both jovial and sad but all are cast in good light. Molly is a young vocalist who easily captures the old-school sentiment with a flawless delivery. Some of the bests are “The Folks Who Live On The Hill”, “Let A Smile Be Your Umbrella”, and “Get Yourself A New Broom”.
