O’s Notes: Singer Pamela Luss pairs her soft sweet vocals with the warm rich tone of Houston Person’s sax. They share the spotlight with Person shadowing her moves over a dozen jazzy classics. They do a slower version of Carol King’s “It’s Too Late”, a bossa nova take on “Can’t Get Out of This Mood” and place a country bounce on “Nice and Easy”. We liked their takes on “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Maybe You’ll Be There”. All the while Pamela and Houston share a musical bond that gives Sweet and Saxy it’s zest.
