O’s Notes: Mary Ann plays her bass as good as any and does so in style! Her bowing technique is dramatic and inviting, notably on the opener. This music is fresh with a nice dose of swinging improvisation. The title track is a soft vocal, balancing the upbeat burners like “Soon” and “The Burner”. McSweeney has poise.
