O’s Notes: Janice steps out in front of a trio to sing a dozen ballads, a mixture of originals like the title track and some freshly arranged standards. Sean Conly (b), Diego Voglino (d) and special guest Daniel Sadownick (perc) join Friedman who also plays piano. Janice stretches her range with imagination and creative arrangements. Among the best are the bossa nova beats of “A Day In The Life of A Fool”, a funky swinging “Summertime” and the mellow “Meditation”. The recording is crystal clear adding to a good session.
