O’s Notes: Canadian pianist Jean-Michel Pilc goes solo on Symphony, a relaxing collection of ten original compositions. The music was recorded in Portugal following the recording of saxophonist Xose Miguelez’s album Contradiction. Pilc is expressing his interpretation of the mood of the moment. He is fearless and unencumbered leading to boundaryless expressions across many thoughts in a dynamic exchange. Our favorites are “Way To Go” and the vibrant “Not Falling This Time”.
