O’s Notes: Pianist George Hazelrigg and bassist Geoff Hazelrigg have roots in rock that they transitioned into jazz as their musical palettes matured. The brothers give you their jazzy interpretation of Synchronicity (1983), an album by the famous British rock band The Police. Both versions of the title track are noteworthy. We also enjoyed “Wrapped Around Your Finger” and “Murder By Numbers”. They transform the once edgy notes into a mellow, peaceful groove. Drummer John O’Reilly rounds out the trio.
