O’s Notes: Claudio Scolari (d, perc, fl, p, synths) leads a trio with Daniele Cavalca (melodically, d, perc, p, synths, vibes, b) and Simone Scolari (t). Cavalca and Claudio Scolari get the writing credit for all seven lengthy compositions. Each has orderly and more creative, sometimes bordering on chaotic, sections. What starts as a quiet set catches fire on “Expressions of image” then settling into our favorite tracks “Dialogue” and “Rituals”, both balanced discussions between each of the band members.
