O’s Notes: The legendary Tony Bennett is ushered into the studio of PBS radio host Alec Wilder. We get another jazz history lesson of American Popular Song with commentary and wonderful renditions of classics. The program is mostly dedicated to Irving Berlin with Loomis McGlothlin (p), Terry Lassiter (b) and Jim Lackey (d) supporting Bennett for this 1977 broadcast. They rekindle many memories along with providing a foundation for how the music evolved.
