O’s Notes: Guitarist Hernan Hock leads a quintet for his latest release The Anachronic Machine. He wrote all of the compositions and handles most of the lead line on this jazz fusion effort. There’s a sense of mystery on “Bar 48” and Hock is really cooking along with Rafael Aguilar (sax) on “Blue Collar”. We also dug “Pachuko” featuring pianist Pablo Gutierrez. This is a swinging machine indeed!
