O’s Notes: The walking bass, ragtime two-handed piano and theatrical vocals characterize this session. It was actually recorded as a demo back in the early 1970’s. Although her vocal signature was not yet polished, the fundamentals are clear. There are twenty-two songs, mainly the popular classics by Gershwin, Mercer and Gilberto.
