O’s Notes: Yvonne likes to sings and her enthusiasm comes through in her performance. This is a collection of 17 of her best in a variety of different settings. We liked “Man In A Raincoat” with Onaje Alan Gumbs (keyboards) and the mysterious “Gypsy Without A Song”. Toots Thielemans (harmonica) makes his presence known on four tracks, notably “My Old Flame”. But it is Roome who puts the warmth in these golden oldies with her lush tones.
