O’s Notes: The title gives us a hint of the cool sounds that we will encounter on this session. There is a swinging funky groove coming from the band including the core rhythm section of Nic Cecire (d), Brett Hirst (b), Dave Longo (g) and Gary Daley (keyboards). Darryl is the singer and this is all original stuff written with John Scofield. They take it down a notch with lazy beats of “Sweet Ride” before some cool harmonizing on “The Office”. But most of the cuts are funky and cool like our favorite, “Put A Sock In It” with Vic’s drum solo.
