O’s Notes: Sax and clarinet player Renzi forms a trio with David Ambrosio (b) and Russell Meissner (d, perc). They perform eight originals that are mostly fusion pushing free jazz on “The Rice Shed”. They gained momentum through the set with the best tracks in the second half. Our favorites were “Stones For Sand” with Matt on clarinet and “Circles” with Matt playing sax, both with some nice work from Meissner and Ambrosio on the breaks.
