O’s Notes: Drummer Bobby Previte lays down the beats for this rock fusion session of funk. Charlie Hunter (g) and Jamie Saft (B3) are the other core musicians with Steve Bernstein (t), Skerik (sax), Stanton Moore (d) and Stew Culler (harmonica) adding the color. The theme behind the coalition is addressing the division of classes and the harsh realities of change for those on the bottom. We can feel the emotion in the music. The best tracks are “Airstrip One”, “The Inner Party” and the blues of “Memory Hole” with nice work on guitar by Hunter.
