Lester insisted on excellence in his productions including the liner notes. He’d be proud of this package. Among the many legends included are Shelly Manne, Barney Kessel, Hampton Hawes, Art Pepper, Sonny Rollins, Benny Carter, Ornette Coleman, Helen Humes and Ray Brown. There’s a lot of stellar music that will entice you to consider some of the excellent reissues available today.
