O’s Notes: Justin plays French Horn and leads an octet with Chris Creel (a sax, cl), Peter Hess (b cl), Chad Talmor (t sax), Pete Thomson (g), Desmond Withe ( b), Matt Ray (p) and Marko Djordjevic (d). They play a warm set of jazz fusion that is intriguing. The music is all original by Mullens with a few covers notable “Naima”. It’s a good club set for deep listeners.
