O’s Notes: The Dialogue is a rich conversation between saxophonist Matt Criscuolo and guitarist Tony Purrone. Bassist Dave Anderson and drummer Will Calhoun support them. We enjoyed the engagement on “A Child’s Dream” and “Ronnie’s Tune” both originals. There is also a crisp cover of Ellington’s “Prelude to a Kiss”. Many of the arrangements are intriguing and on the edge keeping listeners alert and stimulated.
