O’s Notes: The Dream Logic is the Brainchild of Charles Compo, composer arranger, vocalist, guitarist and winds. He assembles a large crew anchored by bassist Jerry Brooks and percussionist Mustafa Ahmed. The sound is throwback 1970s funk with a touch of progressive rock. We found it rather intoxicating and easy to engage in for those willing to experience the retroactivity. Among the best are “I’ll Be Right Back”, the reggae infused “Mustafa Sunrise”, “Spooky Reaction” and “The Criminal”.
