O’s Notes: This is definitely a fun set. It’s free form improvising centered on guitar (Nels) and woodwinds & sax (Vinny) but there are a myriad of different sound effects that add color. You will hear glass breaking, bells ringing and other household sounds that make you wonder what’s happening. It’s a creative work that moves from spooky to festive but rather enticing for that selective crowd that can appreciate spontaneous jazz.
