O’s Notes: Diana plays the blues for this outing, mixing sultry vocals with piano. The selections are great from the title track to “Temptation” with Neil Larson on the B3 and the honky-tonk feel of “Love Me Like A Man”. Among the other musicians who make this session sizzle are Christian McBride (b), Terri Lyne Carrington (d) and Anthony Wilson (g). Krall’s rich vocals play well with this vibe. It is easy to visualize the smoky room and the glasses tingling as the audience relates to her blues. This is a fine performance.
