O’s Notes: Tenor saxophonist Eric Wyatt continues to develop his signature as we hear threads of Rollins, Henderson and Gordon in his shadows. But“The Golden Rule (is) For Sonny“(Rollins). Wyatt has a swinging rhythm section behind him in several different configurations and features Russell Malone (g), JD Allen (t-sax), Clifton Anderson (tb), and Giveton Gelin (t) for further enhancements.“They add a little calypso on ‘If Ever I Should Leave You‘ and ‘Don’t Stop The Carnival‘ to round out a good session.
