O’s Notes: Rachael sings eleven covers of popular jazz standards with her trio – Warren Wolf (p), Erik Privert (b) and David Brophy (d). Warren dazzled us with his solo on “The Trolley Song” anchoring a strong musical performance throughout the session. But Price is the star on center stage. She sings with gentle tones that invite the listener to relax and enjoy. This is especially true on “You Go To My Head” and “Serenade In Blue”. We also enjoyed her upbeat arrangements on “From This Moment On” and “Love You Medley” with Wolf on vibes.
