O’s Notes: Jacqui’s voice is rich, warm and kind of funky, very pleasing on this collection of fourteen tunes, a mix of standards and originals. Her band is solid with Jon Evans (b, g, vocals), Art Khu (p, organ, g) and Josh Jones (d, perc). She’s got staying power and a unique proposal. Among the best are “Walkin’ Out The Door”, “The Long Game”, “Like Someone In Love”, and swinging covers of “Smile” and “Speak Low”.
