O’s Notes: Whether she’s soaring on “As The Tides Turn” or jazzing it up on “The Weather in New York City” Elisabeth stays true to her signature and it’s cool. She takes us through ten tunes, seven of her own along with a tight band. Walter Fischbacher tickles the ivory and makes a splash with his solos throughout the set. Chris Tarry plays bass and shines up on “Delirious Joy”. Hari Ganglberger (d) keeps time and Mino Cinelu (perc) and Donny McCaslin (sax) make guest appearances with each making a strong statement on “Be A Lion”. We also liked the funky beats of “Free To Fall”. The combinations results in a very good session.
