O’s Notes: My Ideal Music features Carol Woods and Colleen McHugh singing the works of Richard Whiting and Hubert Arnold. Of special note are “A Day Away From Town” and “Sittin’ One The Curbstone Blues” featuring Woods. Both are recorded for the first time here 75 since the last Whiting/Arnold recording. That marries today and yesterday nicely to give us a taste of history. McHugh sings “Japanese Sandman” and “Ukelele Lady” in full sync with the originals. It’s 1930 all over again!
