O’s Notes: There is something magical about harmonic mixed vocals and it is here for sure. These guys remind us of Manhattan Transfer and similar vocal ensembles. The core vocalists are Holli Ross, Dylan Pramuk, Amy London and Darmon Meader. In addition to great harmonies they sing vocalese, a vocal expression of instruments that has slipped away from the mainstream from its peak in the 1950s. The Royal Bopsters special guests are Mark Murphy, Bob Dorough, Jon Hendricks, Sheila Jordan and Annie Ross. They make a good thing great by bringing some of yesterday’s glory into the present.
