O’s Notes: The mellow tone of John Hart’s guitar along with Sherri’s warm vocals on the opener “You’re Looking at Me” gives us a welcoming hint of what follows. There is a mild bossa nova/Latin groove underlying these tunes that adds to the relaxed feeling that is pervasive on the session. Among the supporting musicians are producer/bassist Harvie S, Phil Woods (sax) and Lew Soloff (t). Ben Lapidus (tres) makes a cameo appearance on “Jamaica Farewell”. The balance of vocals and strong instrumentation make this a very good CD.
