O’s Notes: Andrea is a creative jazz singer with an abundance of character. She bends the tones and shapes her phrases to express her moods. A good example is the reduced pace of “Moanin'” which recasts the tune. Wolper also has the courage and talent to project her voice out front of her accompanying band. Guitarist Ron Affif makes a notable contribution, especially of the duet “I Like You, You’re Nice”. The program includes twelve songs: 3 originals and 9 standards that are effectively transformed with Andrea’s indelible signature – pleasingly so!
