O’s Notes: Drummer Jerry Granelli plays along with David Tronzo (g), Christian Kogel (g) and J. Anthony Granelli (b). They perform a live set of the same eight songs on two consecutive nights. The groove is an open bluesy fusion with a slow burn. The songs are not congested and maintain a core structure that is recognizable. They feed off of each other’s energy and tailor the songs to the occasion. It’s all unedited, 1st take. Our favorite tracks are Monday’s arrangement of “It’s A Man’s World” and Tuesday’s “The Old Neighborhood”.
