O’s Notes: Bassist Ben Allison forms a quartet with Steve Cardenas (g), Brandon Seabrook (g, banjo) and Allison Miller (d). Steve and Ben wrote all of the music. They open with D.A.V.E., a playful romp and continue with a journey through the galaxy that has threads of country with Brandon’s work on banjo. The resulting blend is unique and catchy. It is a winner.
