O’s Notes: Sherie has an earthy voice that reflects her absolute feelings. She is not bashful and sings these standards and blues with her twist and spirit. The band is excellent and supports Marshall well on the bossa nova beats of “My Old Flame”, the poetic “Little Butterfly”, the country blues of “Do Something” and hearty tunes like “Good Daddy Blues”. Guitarist/producer Mike Cadó’s performance is especially notable. This is the type of act we recall enjoying in the alleys of New Orleans!
