O’s Notes: Saxophonist, composer T. K. Blue assembles a band with Stephon Harris (vibes, marimba), James Weidman (p), Gavin Fallow (b), Lenny Robinson (d), and Ron Jackson (g). They play nine selections including three originals, all centered on romance, cutting across genres. The tunes are mellow, accentuating Blu’s warm, gentle approach. We sampled the 180-gram vinyl version that only added to the relaxed mood.
