O’s Notes: This is a brass rich large ensemble led by trumpeter David Weiss. They layering of brass on top of the solid syncopated rhythms makes the music move. Pianist Xavier Davis shines on the title track. They swing on “David and Goliath” and cook on “Panick”, several strong songs on a very good session.
