O’s Notes: Starting with the last track, a solo that illustrates all of the beauty of Fried’s 7-string guitar, this CD has a lot to enjoy. Michael Moore (b) and Tony Tedesco (d) join Fred to make a trio. They play mostly standards with a few of Fried’s originals sprinkled in among the eleven tunes. Each has a soothing character that makes for easy listening. Highlights include the bossa nova beats of “Evening Song”, “Peau Douce” and “Spring Will Be A Little Late This Year”.
