O’s Notes: Clausen (tb) teams up with Gus Carns (p), Ivan Arteaga (cl), Aaron Otheim (accordion, p) and Chris Icasiano (d) to put music to memories on The Wishbone Suite. The inspiration for the program was Andy’s 2nd grade crush on a classmate. The innocent, naive feeling comes through the music in gentle, simple passages. Andy uses classics to convey his message. We experience the emotional bliss that was more of a dream than reality. Oh but if mature romantic encounters could have just a piece of this magic, the world would be a better place.
