O’s Notes: Aimée is a Toronto-based vocalist who has performed with her own band and in other groups at numerous local venues. The World Is Alright is her debut recording with pianist Chris Pruden, guitarist Brandon Wall, bassist Jeff Deegan and Robin Claxton on drums. While the music is characterized as jazz, it has strong pop/country influences. Our favorite is the title track with its subtle funky undertones. Butcher has a wonderful voice and compelling stories that will appeal to a large audience
