O’s Notes: Bassist Avital opens with a solo arrangement of Marley’s “Redemption Song”. It sets the tone for nine more creative compositions. Each are based on standard jazz rhythms and layered with harmonic sax & flute melodies. They stretch the envelope by extending away from the core without losing touch! “Think With Your Heart” and “Make Believe ” are strong examples. This strong evidence that our beloved jazz is still alive and growing.
