O’s Notes: Bob’s piano work is exceptional. Pianists have been in his family for several generations so his skills are a birth rite of sorts. He has also become a composer, a producer and leader, particularly of jazz. He frequently performs live concerts known as “Jazz Vespers”. On the solo disc of this set, he plays a series of dynamic compositions that are very good. The sound is very large with the trio, more like an orchestra!
