O’s Notes: Three of A Mind is a collaboration featuring bassist Doug Weiss, Al Foster on drums and leader, pianist Adam Birnbaum. They play sophisticated jazz-fusion that could easily be classified as modern jazz. Birnbaum composed seven selections and Foster wrote the remaining two songs for this album, Birnbaum’s forth CD as a leader. His first two recordings were released in Japan before Travels, his US debut in 2009. “Brandyn”, “Dream Song #1″and “Kizuna” are highlights along with our favorite “Ooh What You Do To Me”.
