O’s Notes: German composer and pianist Florian Ross came upon a startling realization when cleaning his computer hard drive. He had composed quite a bit of music since 1995 and a surprising amount was not well documented. These are some of the loose ends referred to in the title. The ties are the successful tunes, his strong associations with fellow musicians and the like. This set brings things together, some new musicians, some old performing mostly all new Ross originals. The results are exciting and energetic, worthy of repeated listening for big band aficionado.
