O’s Notes: Composer and saxophonist David Wise puts together a collection of tunes that he felt the urgency to record. Though it was released in 2015, it just crossed our path this year and it is still relevant. Special guest Jason Joseph sings heartfelt vocals on “What More Could One Man Want?” to open the set. Wise breathes passion into “Sylvia” and “Here’s That Rainy Day”, featuring guitarist Bruce Forman. David continues his soulful pleas with strong statements throughout the set especially on the title track.“Til They Lay Me Down“is packed with passion.
