O’s Notes: Composer, trumpeter Win Pongsakorn was born in Thailand and educated at University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, Austria earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees in jazz trumpet. His band is a quartet for Time Has Changed. We liked pianist David Hazeltine’s work on the title track and “Theme For Ernie”. However, this recording is centered on the warm melodies of Pongsakorn’s trumpet and flugelhorn, notably on “Man In The Mirror” and “You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me”.
